All of the massage places in my area are either illicit massage parlors or chains that suck! Like today I went to a reflexology place I found on Yelp that I thought was good but my masseuse didnt tell me their name, didn’t listen when I told them they were going too hard(was painful) and overall shitty experience. It was $45 for 30min and they wanted a $20 tip?! To be fair they kept saying they didn’t speak English so I give them somewhat of a pass but it seems too frequent where I wonder if they’re legit masseuses why don’t they know basic words like “stop” or “can you please go softer, harder” etc.
Is that normal? I’ve gone to other places like Massage Envy or happy head and it’s the same thing. It always seems to be old Asian ladies who don’t speak English and it gives off the same vibe as a illicit massage parlor except they don’t do anything inappropriate. -
