How far y'all were one month into python/programming?
-
I've been asking myself if I'm even actually learning it for a few days now.
I started trying to learn python (first language) late December, and sometimes I feel like I'm stuck - or just reeeeeally slow learning.
After learning the basics of the basics doing a hangman game and a guess the word game (following a course I got), I went straight to YouTube and found some people talking about how codewars/leetcode are amazing and how you can practice there and sharpen up.
So I hopped right on it, made an account on both and started the first few problems. Some I needed outside help, some I didn't. Now I'm solving like a few 6kyu problems on coders, but most seem way out of my reach. At the same time I'm trying to do more on leetcode and there I'm struggling on easy ones.
I'm 27 now and trying to change careers.
How far did y'all get in your first month? Is it normal to feel overwhelmed by the amount of resources? How can I make progress faster? Should I make progress faster?
