Why can't Indian dramas be as globally successful as Korean dramas?

This Question is based on an assumption. There is no proof. To make a comparison, one should have the stats. Since that is not available, I would rather talk about my preferences. I am a K-Drama addict to the extend that I don’t need subtitles to understand the dialouges. But I am also a fan of Indian Dramas. I find Indian Dramas more romantic and great storyline Like Anupama Desi Serial. I especially should not be saying this because I am an Indian
I have many friends who belong to the Indian Television Industry
A good amount of my Income come from ‘clients from the Showbiz’.
I am sure many of the Hotstar TV lovers viewing this answer also would agree to some of the points I make below.Indian Dramas are too long for my liking. I can tolerate dramas that go beyond 24 episodes. Most Korean Dramas are 16 to 25 episodes only and mostly end within 4 months whereas an Indian Drama can go on for 5 years+.
I would prefer dramas to be a bit more ‘real life’ Like Kasturi Watch. The overly made up faces and non-aging characters are no isssue for me if storyline is great. In Korean Dramas, the older characters look their age.
I can overlook TV Dramas lifting plots from foreign movies and dramas as long as the makers are just taking ‘inspiration’. But there have been Indian Dramas that have shamelessly copied not only plots but characters as well.
Majority of Indian Dramas make no sense. Almost all Indian Dramas come with repeated plots, illogical twists and badly inserted ‘promotional content’.
I do like family dramas. So Dramas like YRKKH and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 interest me. Despite being family Dramas and a bit longer to my liking (50 episodes), I have no problem with kdramas like ‘Shall we live together’ and ‘My Golden Life’ .
I like youth oriented content. Dramas that has romance and stuff like kisses and hugs fascinate me. I like legal and Sci-Fi Dramas too. There are hardly any such good dramas on Indian Television.I find some of the Indian Television content ‘utmost disturbing’ to watch. I want ‘entertainment’, not headache.
I find Korean Male Actors far more appealing to the eye than Indian men. Its just my opinion, no offence meant to anyone.
These are just somethings I dislike about Indian Dramas.Note : Some people are going to be annoyed by my answer, but that is just my opinion. I mean no offence to anyone. Having said the above, I am even annoyed that the telecast of many of the Dramas I watch regularly are cancelled because of the World Cup.
