I found a solution, I understand how it works, but why it's necessary eludes me. It also removed all buffering and any audio problems I was having. Everything is very fast now.

I only found this after windows 10 stopped me connecting to my mobile device.
Like the title says. During playback there's snippets of subtitles missing. I've compared VideoStream payback with running off my computer and can verify this is a problem. The strange thing is that the missing text is always at the same parts. This isn't a single event, but many videos do this.
It's not like the text goes off screen or fragmented, but just fails to produce the text sometimes.
I've tried all sorts of settings to correct this and have found nothing that helps.
No. I've heard of ISPs getting sued over this though. Some people were using some default router the ISP gives them and the ISP was charging them for non internet related file transfers. But I just bridge my modem since I have a way better wireless solution.
The headphone idea is brilliant. I support this. Many times there's distractions or I could cause one. Headphones would get around this.
