I am new to Sitecore and TDS. Are the packages created by TDS the same as the packages created by Sitecore Package Designer? If not what is the difference. Plus how do I create a package using TDS. From what I saw TDS creates "Update Packages" although I am not sure what this means.

Looking for a way to incorporate a third party form (not a sitecore form) into a sitecore layout.

I suspect it is not working because of the outer sitecore form tag (the one that wraps all content). Problems due to nested form tags (not good).

I am trying to update a Sitecore 6.6 instance to Sitecore 7.0. After logging in to the Sitecore administrative interface and launching the content editor, I receive the error:

Access is denied: 'Sitecore.Shell.Applications.ContentEditor.RenderingDatasource'.

I have installed Salesforce CPQ package in my DEV org and it shows the expiration date as "Does not Expire". Does this mean Salesforce is supporting CPQ package for life time in Developer Edition orgs? I did not find any link/article regarding the same.

We are hosting sitecore 8.1 in azure web apps. We log the errors on to App Dynamic where the application ticket will auto-created for each error.

The problem is that 90% of errors are raised by builtin sitecore piepelines e.g. GeoIP service not setup, session end not setup (due to MongoDB) etc.

Is it possible to identify and filter out the errors raised by built in pipelines and events in Sitecore?

We have a couple hundred legacy Cognos 7 reports that we need to convert to Cognos 8. I've been told from a couple sources that this has to be done manually, but I find that hard to believe. Surely at least part of the process can be automated. Does anyone know of any tools available that can assist in converting from Cognos 7 Impromptu to Cognos 8? Or does anyone with Cognos development experience know how to access the data from a Cognos 7 report and dump it into a table/XML file? I've been trying to parse the binary, and I'm getting some information like what data fields are included, which catalog it's using, etc. But if a map already exists, that would be awesome

I am struggling to clear variable when new PowerApps form open. My requirement is to pass the argument from another screen to the Main screen. Variable gets receive successfully to the Main screen. However, when I submit the form and re-open the NEW form, that variable still holds the old value. How do I get rid of the resetting variable?

I am fairly new to the Alteryx. I would like to create a process/workflow in Alteryx to import a file from a specified location but that should be controlled by the input parameters.

I have a project where my end users are using Alteryx to combine data sources and import into SQL server. We are investigating changing SQL server to CosmoDB but I'm not sure if connecting to CosmoDB is supported by Alteryx.

Do anyone know if there is a connector? Am I overthinking this? I don't know Alteryx very well.

Has anyone written or knows the whereabouts of an Airflow Operator for Alteryx? Trying to automate the execution of an existing Alteryx workflow, typically executed manually. If this helps at all, both Airflow and Alteryx are behind the same firewall in an on-prem datacenter.

**For reasons beyond the scope of this question, I recognize there are better ways of starting an Alteryx workflow other than Airflow.

When I make a call to the ItemService on my main website, such as mysite.com/sitecore/api/ssc/item/0CF2CD64-2A60-47AE-A2F2-7FD1B599EE04, it works as expected. However, when I make a call on the microsite, e.g. se.mysite.com/sitecore/api/ssc/item/0CF2CD64-2A60-47AE-A2F2-7FD1B599EE04, I get a 403 error.

Cognos worked perfectly. But for reasons, we changed the addressing plan of the network (IPs servers, domain name). So, cognos and datastage don't worked. I don't know how we change or modify the domain name in cognos configuration.
