Video Loads but doesn't play on TV

Hi
I have been having this problem for a while now. I have configured everything correctly and I know it works as I cast BBC iplayer and you tube from my laptop.
I have attached a screen shot to show what is happening. It loads the video and says it is playing but it is not playing as the time is not moving and nothing is being streamed on my TV expect the Video stream logo. In the top right hand corner displays it is connected to video stream. The pause button, forward and rewind buttons are inactive too.
Please help, not sure what the problem is.

Hey Guys! Really sorry about this. Could you send us the Videostream log files (you can get these by going into the videostream settings menu and clicking the contact button at the bottom).
Once you have these, reply here with them and we'll get to the bottom of what's going on

I have the identical problem on both my Mac OS X and Linux desktops.

just looking at the log it looks like something is blocking it.

I had the same problem and found if I hit the videostream in upper right hand corner the movie started playing.

From that log it looks like a connection issue, which likely means theres a firewall in the way. If you're on windows try running our firewall fixer here:
This will fix any issue with Windows firewall so if you have a 3rd party firewall you'll need to make a separate exception.
We need port 5556 and 5558 open - if you need a hand doing that give me a shout at jason@getvideostream.com

I'm having a similar problem on my mac, except video doesn't even load on my computer. The link you mentioned only is for windows. I have my firewall completely turned off and no antivirus running. I'm not able to find the log under the contact section of settings.

So how did u solve it ?
I have the exact same Issue, it suddenly was like that yesterday evening. Before that happened i watched 4 video files in a row and suddenly i had that Videostream logo without the movie playing. And i didnt change a thing.

I haven't fix it of yet, still waiting for Video Stream Developers to get back to me. I depend on this app a lot as it is fantastic when it does work.
I have deleted the app and reinstalled in.
I have removed all exceptions from windows firewall and tried to add it in again to allow it to run on the port number.
I open video stream through the app icon via Google Chrome.I am not sure what else can be done at the moment and assistance is required.
Update: I have just disabled windows firewall and windows defender and still having the same issue. Please help if anyone knows something I am doing wrong.
