RE: Unexpected error Chromecast/Videostream
I'm a Videostream developer. I broke it - and I fixed it.
Some things need to propagate so you could be unlucky but a few reboots and you should be good. -
RE: General Incidents notifications
We definitely need a response system for things like that. You're right, it would be super useful.
That way next time I break everything we can let you know right away ;).Cheers!

RE: Chromecast Brainfreeze
And by we: I mean me... I replaced all of our certificates on Thursday... and I forgot the damn server that hosts our Chromecast receiver.

RE: Chromecast Brainfreeze
Glad to hear it - sorry we busted it in the first place :(

RE: No video only audio
Also, let me know if it's good for everybody or if the problem is still happening!

RE: No video only audio
Should be good now! We messed up a little bit. If you're still having problems, restart your Chromecast and life should be grand!

RE: Setting a external subtitle for individual videos queued in the playlist.
We have it!
The newest version has a couple of new settings you can change in the settings dialog.
Audio -> Preferred Audio Language
Subtitles -> Preferred Subtitle LanguageOur logic is as follows:
- If your default audio language is found, we load that with NO SUBTITLES
- If your default audio language is NOT found and your default subtitle language is found, we load that with the FIRST audio track
- If your default audio language is NOT found and there is ONE unknown subtitle track, we load the first audio track and the unknown subtitle track.
Try it out!

RE: VIDEOSTREAM HAS STOPPED WORKING!
@jackren What distribution of Linux do you use? Also, are you getting any popups in Videostream when you try watching something?

RE: VIDEOSTREAM HAS STOPPED WORKING!
@eyesofnova You are kind of a genius - every case I have found, this works.
The Chrome App Launcher seems to be weird on some computers with strange Anti-virus combos.
You can also launch Videostream from your Start Menu on your computer - just search for Videostream from the start menu!
I've passed it off to Google and still digging for solutions on the tab casting. Anybody else with this specific issue, send me your OS and Antivirus information. Must squash bug!

RE: VIDEOSTREAM HAS STOPPED WORKING!
We have a breakthrough!
Thanks to @nikkim - I've managed to reproduce this bug. Here's what I've found:
I'm able to reproduce it on Windows 7 with Avast Anti-virus.
The problem ONLY OCCURS when I launch Videostream using the Chrome App Launcher. If I don't have Avast installed, no problems from the App Launcher or anywhere else. With Avast - no dice.
Help me out, Videostreamers! What are your operating systems and Anti-virus suites? Going go to Google with this one.

RE: VIDEOSTREAM HAS STOPPED WORKING!
@nikkim It's looking like an update to the Google Cast Extension broke things - nothing in our code.
If you've still got this issue, toss me an email so we can track down the source of the problem and either implement a fix, tell Google where the source of the issue is, or find a workaround. -
RE: VIDEOSTREAM HAS STOPPED WORKING!
Anybody having this issue:
I've been trying to track this down and I can't figure out what's going on! Anybody with this problem, it would be AMAZING if I could remote desktop to take a look at some things on your system. Email me: graham@getvideostream.com -
RE: preload subtitles for playlist for premium
When you are adding files to your playlist, select the subtitle files along with the video file and we'll match them up and auto-select them with the newest version!

RE: audio
The audio options become available when there are multiple audio tracks to change between.
If the video you are watching has multiple tracks but the audio settings still don't show up. We may be running into issues with your anti-virus. If that's the case you can find some help here:

RE: Embedded subtitles in MKV Files won't show in Videostream Premium
In VLC go to Tools -> Media Information and go to the Codec tab!
